Plants along Jalan Sudirman - Thamrin Being Replaced

The Jakarta City Parks and Forest Agency is replacing plants affected by the New Year celebrations 2024 along Jalan Sudirman - Thamrin.

It is targeted to be completed in two days

It aims to restore the function of the green belt in the affected location.

Jakarta Parks and City Forests Agency's data and information Center Head, Ivan Murcahyo detailed the plant replacement was made for certain types of plants and their respective areas, such as daffodil catfish covering an area of 55 square meters, aralia 122 square meters, and bougainvillea 31 square meters.

"Its replacement uses plant stock resulting from independent propagation," he expressed, Wednesday (1/3).

He explained the replacement was made, as many plants were damaged due to being stepped on by visitors who crowded Jalan Sudirman - Thamrin on New Year's Eve.

The affected locations are the green belts on Jalan Sudirman and MH Thamrin, namely around the Patung Pemuda (Youth Statue) - Senayan - Bundaran HI.

"It is targeted to be completed in two days," he stated.
